Golf Magazine Top 100 Teachers:
Golf Instructor & Golf Coach
Keith Lyford, a Top 100 Golf
Teacher since 1998, has helped thousands of
golfers with his golf lessons, golf schools and
golf instruction packages.
No one is more qualified to
assist you with your golf instruction needs.
Keith Lyford is the
Sacramento region’s only Top 100 Golf Teacher.
In fact, Keith has been selected one of the
nations Top 100 teachers by Golf Magazine every
year since 1998. That’s quite an honor
considering that there are over 28,000 PGA of
America professionals.
Golf Magazine selects only the
100 most elite among them as the best teachers
to help you lower your scores, improve your golf
swing, hammer the ball longer and putt the
lights out.
In addition to being one of the
nation’s top instructors, Keith is an
outstanding player. As a
former PGA Tour player he is in rare company as
both an accomplished player and teacher. Keith
knows first hand what it takes to compete at the
highest level and he knows how to convey that
knowledge to his students.
Keith started his teaching career
at the Arnold Palmer Junior Academy. Since then
he has managed several of the nation’s top golf
schools, including the Stratton Golf School, the
Golf Digest School, the Cranwell Golf School,
the Harmon Golf School and the Lyford Scottsdale
Golf School (which earned Top 25 Golf School
honors in a Golf Magazine readers' poll).
He was named the New England PGA
Teacher of the Year in 1997 and the Northeastern
New York PGA Teacher of the Year in 2000.
Lyford is currently the Director
of Instruction at
The Golf Academy at Old
Greenwood in Lake Tahoe. In the winter months,
Keith teaches at Whitney Oaks Golf Course in
Rocklin California, where he spends most of his
time teaching
private lessons and
junior development
programs and continues to help
golfers swing better,
score lower, and enjoy the game
more.
